Dysthymic Disorder

Considered a low-grade depression, it may not be as severe as major depression, but is more chronic. These individuals may be less impaired by their symptoms, but are not functioning optimally. Some have described dysthymia as more relenting but less consuming than major depression. This disorder can occur at any time during one’s lifespan, including childhood and adolescence.
